What's the Deal with Moll Dolls Creations?
First things first, I should introduce myself. I am the proud owner of what I am building to be the coolest, geekiest store in town. But hey, I didn't just wake up one day and decide to spread this sassy, sarcastic, awesomeness. This journey started with a sprinkle of inspiration and a dash of quirkiness.
Once Upon a Time in a galaxy a long way away...
For obvious reasons I can use the actual quote, but I know my geek crew out there are picking up what I am putting down

Picture this: A younger me planning complex and intricately fun-loving pranks on her friends and family through personalised printed homewares, apparel and goods...mainly on my older sisters but they secretly, not so secretly love it. Couple that with an almost incessant love of sarcastic meme's, gifs and slogans, constant commentary from friends to set up my own store and share my sense of humour with the wider public, and eventually there was a spark of an idea.
I want to say it was a boom, or a light bulb going off, but I am not that motivated and energetic when inspiration for hits.
Like a well dripolator or barrister made coffee, I like to let the idea percolate and brew for a little bit first, then the nerd sets in and I need to research and plan. If I am going to do something I want it to be fun and inspiring. Don't get me wrong I work hard and am in a constant state of test and learn, my other job is centred around learning and development, but I am always looking for ways to make my work interesting, quirky and funny (kinda how I like to describe myself I guess).
So, I spent months brainstorming and researching like there was no tomorrow and making copious notes of my sarcastic and sassy quips and ideas. I wanted to build a store that would make people smile, laugh, and feel like they've entered a wonderland of geeky awesomeness - we can always do with more of that in the world. Right!?!?!
The Birth of Geek Chic Awesomeness
After countless cups of coffee (and maybe a few meme scrolling voids in between - one of my nicknames is the meme queen after all), the vision started to take shape. I started to handpick the quirkiest, most offbeat and in some cases random products that would make even the grumpiest person crack a smile - the kind of stuff that would and do wear and use.
From hilarious pun-filled mugs to funky shirts and tanks that scream personality, I have started to curate a series of collections that would make heads turn and lips quirk with a smirk.
Spreading the Quirk
So now I am getting the word out about my little slice of quirkiness, and now, I have people engaging from all over the globe to the store. It's early days yet but I can already see the impact that my corner of fun and quirkiness it having.
For me the store isn't just about selling products, it's about creating an experience, a connection or talking point for others. I want the store to become a place where laughter is created and then the products purchased to spread that laughter wherever it is that my customers live and play. This is a place where customers can share and collaborate with me to bring their ideas (and maybe the odd fun light prank) to life. Where every visit is a discovery of the geek or prankster in you.
